Peace Blogger of The Day: Daphne and Chloe

Those cats are at it again! During the first BlogBlast For Peace, I was blown away by the solidarity of effort in The Cat Blogosphere. These two are a riot, along with their Mo Mom, Spooker and Jazper. Even if you're not a cat person (say it ain't so!) you'll love the antics of these guys. And there are more where they came from......Cats blogging for peace is a force to be reckoned with!
Congratulations to Daphne and Chloe, Peace Bloggers of The Day April 21, 2007. Their beautiful site is called Purrchance to Dream.

Go on over and give them a nice little puuuurrrrrr........

Peace Blogger of The Day: Finnegan and Buddy

Two Carolina Cats named Finnegan and Buddy are always causing mischief. But in a cute way. On November 7, 2006 they took a break from their playfulness and posted a peace globe. They even sang John Lennon's Imagine! In catspeak, of course.
They are today's Peace Blogger of The Day - Friday, April 13, 2007! Congratulations.

Peace Blogger of The Day: Kamsin from Fearfully Made

"Peace is more than just the absence of war," writes the author of Fearfully Made.
From the far side of the sea a blogger named Kamsin teaches English in Sarajevo.
Her Dona Nobis post was inspiring and painfully honest about her challenging life in Bosnia. Send her your congratulations for speaking out on the subject of peace.

Peace Blogger of The Day: Jack LeyHane

For What It's Worth is where Jack LeyHane takes up residence in the blogosphere. He is our chosen Peace Globe Blogger of the Day for April 11, 2007. This is what he had to say during the first BlogBlast for Peace on November 7, 2006. It happened to be Election Day in the United States.

"People of good will can disagree on how true peace may best be achieved, but can people of good will ever doubt that peace must be our ultimate goal? It's Veteran's Day on Saturday: Ask a vet about it."

Scroll down to find out how to get your own peace globe for June 6th.

Peace Blogger of The Day: M. Shahin "Your war drum ain't louder than this breath."

Peace Globe Day brought forth poetry and convictions from people of all creeds and religions. As I've said before, anyone with a heart for peace and a positive message is welcome to participate. M. Shahin who writes Gently Into The Night quoted from the Quran and on that day I found these beautiful words in her sidebar. Take a moment to read them......It's called
WHAT I WILL by Suheir Hammad

I will notdance to your wardrum. I willnot lend my soul normy bones to your wardrum. I will not dance to your beating. I know that beat. It is lifeless. I know intimately that skin you are hitting. It was alive once hunted stolen stretched. I will not dance to your drummed up war. I will not pop spin beak for you. Iwill not hate for you or even hate you. I will not kill for you. EspeciallyI will not die for you. I will not mourn the dead with murder nor suicide. I will not side with you nor dance to bombs because everyone else is dancing. Everyone can be wrong. Life is a right not collateral or casual. I will not forget where I come from. Iwill craft my own drum. Gather my beloved near and our chanting will be dancing. Our humming will be drumming.
I will not be played. Iwill not lend my name nor my rhythm to your beat. I will dance and resist and dance and persist and dance. This heartbeat is louder than death. Your war drum ain't louder than this breath.
- Suheir Hammad

Peace Blogger of the Day: Odat

This is what Odat had to say on November 7, 2006. "Mine is simple and always has been...".Peace."...a small but powerful word that I feel inspires smiles everytime I say it...and I say it a lot. Sometimes people look at me like I'm crazy but that's ok. So I'm keeping it simple today too.......

PEACE

She has the coolest blog photo I've ever seen! Love that groovy dancing.

Peace Globe Blogger of the Day: Yaxlich from England

The ever-evolving World of Yaxlich wrote..Yaxlich may be a little slow and a bit naive but even he knows that a few hundred people posting the same message across the internet isn't going to stop war and conflict. What it might do, though, is make people stop and think. That's all he asks.Maybe next year a few hundred will become a few thousand. Maybe the year after it will be tens of thousands. Maybe the year after a million. Who knows?
